Introduction of Yarra Valley

Yarra Valley is located east of Victoria's capital, Melbourne, and usually refers to the upstream region of (Yarra River) on the Yala River.

Yarra Valley is Victoria's most important wine region. Since 1838, when it came from the Ryrie brothers in New South Ville, European colonists have grown vineyards in Yarra Valley, and up to now there are 3800 hectares of vineyards.
