Darwin

Darwin is the capital city of the Northern Territory, located at the northern tip of the northeast entrance to the port of Darwin in the Timor Sea, known as the northern gateway of Australia, due to the famous British naturalists in 1839. The author of Evolutionism: Charles Robert Darwin (Charles Robert Darwin) visited here to commemorate his name.

Darwin, originally a native place of residence, developed rapidly after the discovery of gold in the 1870's. In 1974, it was severely damaged by the hurricane and was rebuilt to become a beautiful and highly developed city with modern streets and buildings.

Darwin is Australia's most indigenous city, and a large proportion of its inhabitants are immigrants from Southeast and East Asia, so Darwin is also known as the "capital of Australian multiculturalism" because it is closest to Asia. So it is an important export port, mainly for live livestock (cattle, sheep) and minerals.

Darwin was the only Australian city baptized by the war, an important Allied military base during World War II, and during World War II, Darwin was bombed 63 times. Now Darwin is also an important military base in Australia and a base for northern coast patrol boats.
