Introduction of Hunter Valley

Hunter Valley, also known as the Hunter area, is located in eastern New South Wales, about 120km from Sydney, the capital of New South Wales, with a total area of 29145 square kilometers. It is a famous wine producing area in Australia. Along with (Barossa Valley) in Barosa Valley in South Australia and (Yarra Valley) in the Yala River Valley in Victoria, it is known as the three major wine valleys in Australia. The area is littered with more than 120 wineries of all sizes.

Hunter Valley is the largest valley in New South Wales and a famous tourist destination. The summer, which begins at the end of January every year, is the beginning of the Hunter Valley grape harvest season and the most dynamic and exciting time of the year: exploring wineries and vineyards large and small in the valley before the morning dew is gone; sitting under umbrellas or shade in the sun and enjoying chilled white wine in the shade, so that the summer heat is washed away by the grass-smelling Hunter Valley Sei Meirong; When the stars lit up in the sky, in the warm midsummer night wind, the melodies of all kinds of performances began to float with them.

Major cities in the Hunter Valley region:

  • Newcastle
  • Lake Macaulay (Lake Macquarie)
  • Maitland (Maitland, NSW)
  • Sessnock (Cessnock)

Pogobin (Pokolbin), located on the northern outskirts of Sessnock, is the most well-known core town of Hunter Valley, surrounded by many fine wineries and (Hunter Valley Visitor Information Centre), the tourist center in the Hunter Valley area.
