Long Island is one of the 74 islands of (Whitsundays), the Holy Spirit Islands off the eastern coast of Queensland, and is part of the famous World Natural Heritage Great Barrier Reef (Great Barrier Reef), which covers an area of about 1012 hectares (10.12 square kilometers). The narrow, long, middle-narrow shape of, Long Island is also named for that.
Compared to the well-developed and well-known islands of (Whitsunday Island), Hamilton, (Hamilton Island), daydream, (Daydream Island), and so on, Long Island, which belongs to the Holy Spirit Islands, is closest to the straight line of mainland in Queensland (less than 500m), but it has not been developed much and is still in a more primitive state of nature. There are also resorts on the island (The Palm Retreat Palm Bay Resort, is located at the northern tip of the island), but most visitors usually choose to take a half-day trip here, with more than 13 kilometers of walking trails on the island.
