Shute Harbour (Shute Harbour, (Saudi Port) is located on the eastern outskirts of Airlie Beach, the southern tip of Queensland's famous World Heritage Reef (Great Barrier Reef), about 8 kilometers from the city of Airlie Beach.
Shute Harbour was once the entrance to (Whitsunday) Island of the Holy Spirit Islands, but with the development of (Abell Point Marina) and port at Cape Abel, it is now a specialized port terminal in Airlie Beach and no longer a tourist destination. The old ferry terminal still has 2, 3 ferries, which carry workers and tourists mainly to (Hamilton Island) (, Hamilton Island, every day. Local barges are still using the port, but the old buildings have become unsightly picturesque. However, Shute Harbour is still a natural and beautiful port.
