Camperdown Botanic Gardens

Camperdown Botanic Gardens, Camperdown VIC 3260, Australia

Introduction of Camperdown Botanic Gardens

Camperdown Botanic Gardens is located on the western outskirts of Camperdown, a small inland town in southern Victoria, about 3 kilometers from the heart of Camperdown.

Camperdown Botanic Gardens, covering about 5 hectares, is located in the middle of two volcanic lakes, Lake (Lake Gnotuk) and Lake (Lake Bullen Merri), adjacent to the Camperdown Golf Club, (Camperdown Gold Club).

Built in 1870 and upgraded in 1888, Camperdang Botanical Garden is home to a large number of Northern Hemisphere tree species, especially the representative individuals of the three species: African Holly, Tilia nigra and Quercus variabilis. Elms, fir trees and some pine trees can also be glimpsed in shaded crowns. Early European immigrants brought their native trees to the New World and planted them on both sides of the street and in the backyard as a token of their hometowns. The small saplings that came with the ship had long been pavilions, and this land was already a non-human being.
