Red Rock, about 15 kilometers north of Colac, an inland town in southern Victoria, is a spectacular volcanic site.
Red Rock is one of the most spectacular volcanic sites in Victoria, with ancient volcanic landforms. The most recent eruption of the volcano may have occurred in 5850 BC. Since most of the site is located on private land, visitors can only enjoy part of Red Rock from two viewing platforms, from which they can see the beautiful rural scenery around them and Australia's largest permanent saltwater lake, Lake Corunjamei (Lake Corangamite)..
