Gumbuya World is located on the eastern outskirts of Melbourne, Victoria's capital, about 75 kilometers from downtown Melbourne.
Gumbuya World, once a farm, was later built into a wildlife park, opened in 1978, joined some amusement facilities in the early 1980s and turned into a park. The big pheasant at the door is its most striking symbol, but these years because the facilities are old, they can no longer attract everyone's interest and can only be maintained at a discount. In 2016, owners sold the park for A $4.55 million to Gary Ryan (Gerry Ryan), owner of Jayco Caravans, Australia's largest RV rental company, and Wall Marshotta (Wal Pisciotta), founder of Carsales, Australia's largest online car sales site, after a massive transformation into Victoria's largest theme park.
Gumbuya World covers an area of about 166 hectares, including seven thematic areas, more than 50 amusement projects, is a collection of water parks, resorts, wildlife zoos, large conference centers as one of the "world-class" tourist attractions. The park is divided into four thematic areas:
Wildlife park: this is one of the characteristics of Gumbuya World, where you can see running kangaroos, walking slowly to emus, big friends and children can be in close contact with lovely animals here;
Family area: with 4D cinema, rope net climbing, roller coaster, jump machine, disco turntable and other recreational facilities, where you can enjoy the feeling of thrilling, exciting, heartbeat acceleration;
Water park: with the tallest water slide in Australia, you can also float leisurely on the river in an inflatable boat, and you can also feel the fun of "walking with dinosaurs".
Jungle Resort: if you want to spend the night here, jungle house, campsites, hotels, motels, functional centers and other supporting facilities are available.
