Elizabeth Farm

70 Alice St, Rosehill NSW 2142, Australia

Introduction of Elizabeth Farm

Elizabeth Farm is located on the western outskirts of Sydney, the capital of New South Wales, near the center of Sydney West, Palamat (Parramatta River), on the (Parramatta River) side of the Paramat River, about 20 kilometers from the city of Sydney.

Founded in 1793, Elizabeth Farm is Australia's oldest remaining English colonizer-established and operated farm and precious national heritage, named after hostess Elizabeth MacArthur (Elizabeth Macarthur). The farm house is a tile-roofed single-story building with four rooms, a hall, closets and kitchens, laundry, etc. The house witnessed many historical events and was a place for political and social activities, with several colonial governors and wives visiting. To this day, the vast farm land has long been divided, but the farm premises are still well preserved and open to the public.

Take the ferry from the roundabout pier in Sydney downtown (Circular Quay) to Elizabeth Farm. directly
