Old Government House is located in (Parramatta Park), Palamat Park in (Parramatta), (Parramatta), the bustling sub-center of the west side of Sydney, New South Wales.
Located on 200 acres of woodland overlooking the historic Palamat, Old Government House is one of Australia's oldest public buildings, which for 70 years has been the home of an early colonial governor. A total of 12 officers, including McGuire Chief (Governor and Mrs Macquarie), liked the clean air and the open country environment of Paramata, and did not like the dirty and crime-ridden streets of Sydney.
In 2010, Old Government House and 10 other sites associated with Australia's exile history were jointly assessed by UNESCO as World Cultural Heritage. Here, visitors can feel the fashion trends of the 19th century, taste the Anglou and Indian style here, as well as the strong decoration color. In addition to visiting the historic interior and exterior structure, Old Government House also offers coffee shops, gift shops, and rental space for weddings, corporate annual meetings and parties.
