St Hugo Wines is located in the southern suburb of Tanunda, the core town of (Barossa Valley), South Australia's most famous wine-producing region, about 75 kilometers from downtown Adelaide, the capital of South Australia.
St Hugo Wines is a high-end brand owned by Jacquas (Jacob), one of Australia's top three wine brands, and the winery is named after the eye-catching wine pioneer Louis Hugo Granm (Louis Hugo Gramp). The Gramm family is a famous wine-making family, and Hugo, with his love for fine wines and an outstanding talent for wine-making from the family, was appointed general manager of the Gramm family at the age of 25, under his leadership. The estate entered a period of prosperity and became one of Australia's most famous wineries.
Since 1980, St Hugo Wines has focused on the brewing of top Cabernet Sauvignon. The winery has two main kill skills: oak barrel aging: St Hugo Cabernet Sauvignon will stay in the old oak barrel for nearly 2 years, fully soften tannins, and develop a very elegant aroma; Multi-plot blend: Cabernet Sauvignon is the most balanced and aromatic Cabernet Sauvignon.
