Tanunda is located in (Barossa Valley), South Australia's most famous wine-producing area, about 75 kilometers from downtown Adelaide, the capital of South Australia.
Tanunda is one of the core towns of Baroosa Valley, surrounded by a number of famous wineries, and the tourist center of Barossa Valley, (Barossa Visitor Information Centre), is also in the town of Tanunda.
