Point Lowly Lighthouse is located on the southern Australian peninsula of (Eyre Peninsula), the third largest city in South Australia, northeast of Whyalla, in Cape Lori (Point Lowly), about 35 kilometers from the city of Whyalla.
Built in 1883, when Whyalla was not built, the lighthouse now stands at 22.8m after the 1909 expansion. In 1993, the lighthouse was briefly closed and reopened in 1995. The sunrise and sunset of the Point Lowly Lighthouse are very beautiful. Campsites by the lighthouse, as well as cabins for accommodation, may not allow visitors to book the cabins on large websites such as Booking, due to their remoteness. If you want to spend a special night in an isolated wilderness, call (08) 8645 0436 and call the cabin manager to book a reservation.
