Mount Remarkable National Park is located in southern South Australia from the coastal plain of Flinders range (Flinders Ranges) in the east to the foot of (Wilmington) Hill in Wilmington about 260km from Adelaide, the capital of South Australia, founded in 1952. It covers an area of 182.71 square kilometers.

Mount Remarkable National Park offers visitors a true wilderness experience, uncommercially developed pristine mountain views and a wide variety of wildlife in the park, making it a great place for camping, jungle hiking and a variety of other recreational activities. The Manbury Creek (Mambray Creek) in the National Park has campsites and vacation cabins, while the Alligator Canyon (Alligator Gorge) has well-equipped luxury vacation huts.

It is noted that the (Heysen Trail) path is 23 km within the Mount Remarkable National Park range, and this is 1200 km long. Australia's longest walkway runs from Cape Jervis (Cape Jervis) to (Parachilna Gorge). In the Paracina Canyon in Flinders range (Flinders Ranges).
