Millstream Falls consists of two parts, large Millstream Falls (Big Millstream Falls) and small Millstream Falls (Little Millstream Falls), both of which are located in the same waterway and are about 500m apart.
Millstream Falls is the broadest single-stream waterfall in Australia, with a spectacular view of falling waterfall flows first hitting the edge of the columnar basalt lava flow before falling into the lower stream. There is a closed walkway leading to the view above the waterfall, but in some places the road is steep. It takes about 15 minutes to get to the observatory, which also provides barbecue, picnic equipment and latrines for those who want to stay here for a while and have some morning tea or lunch.
