Overseas education:

Applicants with an overseas optometrics degree first need to pass the optometrics competency examination before applying for registration or immigration, but they need to assess whether the applicant is eligible to take the exam before the examination.

an accredited overseas optometrist is qualified to take the examination (an approved overseas academic background, and does not recognize the Chinese educational background); if the applicant is in compliance with the above requirements, the applicant can directly fill in the Form2 form for examination, and the applicant can take the examination directly after 4 weeks of processing time, After the examination, it means that a qualified application is registered, and a career evaluation letter is issued, which can be applied directly to the immigrant without completing the job evaluation application form. If the test fails, the migration cannot be applied.

If the applicant's academic background is not a recognized overseas degree

  • You need to fill out the Form3 form to evaluate your qualifications to see if you are eligible to take the exam and evaluate it for about eight weeks.
  • After passing the qualification assessment, the applicant can take the optometrics examination directly, and after passing the exam, it means that he or she is eligible to apply for registration, and he will issue a job evaluation letter with which he can directly apply for immigration. There is no need to fill in a job assessment application form. If the applicant's qualification assessment fails, he or she is not eligible to take the exam, and consequently cannot apply for registration or obtain a career assessment.

Note: application for examination must be submitted at least 4 weeks before the examination date.

Education in Australia:

Registered applicants in Australia, directly fill in the Form1 application for immigration career assessment, two weeks later issued a letter of assessment, with the assessment letter can apply for immigration;

2. If it is not registered, an approved Australian or New Zealand optometrist has no further assessment to apply for Australian registration without further assessment. The procedures for registration are as above;

Applicants who are not registered or graduated from accredited schools are considered to be not qualified for job assessment and cannot apply for immigration job assessment.

Note: application for examination must be submitted at least 4 weeks before the examination date.
