Can the 189 visa quota be used up in this fiscal year? By the way, clear up some mistakes.

Why can't we use up the 43990 visa quota? With less than three months left in the fiscal year, EOI invites the normal five rounds. Since December 2017, the number of invitations per round has plummeted to 305 (of which 189 are 300 per round) and continues to date.

Why can't we use up the 43990 visa quota?

With less than three months left in the fiscal year, EOI invites the normal five rounds. Since December 2017, the number of invitations per round has plummeted to 305 (of which 189 are 300 per round) and continues to date.

By March's final round, 3.21 invitations, the Ministry of the Interior had issued a total of 13800 invitations.

It is well below the 26343 in the same period last year (as of 3.29).

If the current number of invitations, 4 / 5 / June three months 189 will invite an additional 1800 people. So by the end of this fiscal year, 189 will only invite 15600 people.

So many people have questions: this fiscal year 189 visa 43990 quota can still be used up?

To answer this question, we must find out who will use the quota.

Number of EOI invited in fiscal yea

This is the most intuitive and is the first to think of one aspect, even some media always like to use EOI invitations to say things, the results of the eye, but misled a lot of people.

In fiscal year 189, a total of 30524 major applicants were invited:

Eventually, 42422 visas were issued, 1568 fewer than planned.

This fiscal year, already analysed, 189 may invite only 15600 people, almost half of the previous fiscal year.

So some people say, that means that 43990 of quota usage will be cut by half accordingly.

Would he?

Not exactly! Because the quota is not just used by people invited to the EOI this fiscal year!

Here is a small new special, once again to clarify a major misunderstanding: many non-professionals always equate the number of EOI invitations to immigration quotas, this is completely wrong!

The 189 EOI invitation issued only corresponds to the number of applicants, one EOI to the other. The 43990 quota refers to the maximum number of visas granted during the fiscal year.

Because many of them carry side applications such as spouses and children, this situation is tantamount to an invited EOI taking up more than one immigration quota.

In the case of only one applicant, a EOI occupies a quota.

Citizens of New Zealand

Until the current fiscal year, 189 had no New Zealand citizen branch, so all quotas were classified by 189. This fiscal year New Zealand citizens also participate in the allocation of the quota, but they do not need to submit the EOI, directly to submit visa applications.

In other words, the number of New Zealand citizen applications is not reflected in the EOI invitation, but directly occupied the quota of 189.

In the first half of the fiscal year, some people speculated on the immigration quota they would occupy based on the number of applications made by New Zealand in the past few months, and the result was 40%! For a moment, New Zealanders became the target.

The person who makes this inference may forget: does the Home Office grant as many visas as the number of applications submitted?

The actual number of 189 visas issued proves that New Zealanders are carrying the pot.

As of November 30, 2017, the New Zealand Citizen Branch, including chief and deputy Shin, had been granted 611 visas, or about 10 percent, according to FOI from Neolithic. And from month-by-month data, the number of applicants generally shows a decreasing trend. This also confirms the Neolithic analysis a long time ago: quotas are not determined by the number of applications.

Even if the number of Anyway, is small, New Zealand citizens occupy a portion of the quota, which is a competition for classified applicants.

Last fiscal year legacy application

Since the number of EOI invitations for the current fiscal year is low, and the New Zealanders are not taking up much, who else will the quota be used for?

The answer is: 189 applications left over from the previous fiscal year (or even the previous fiscal year). A lot of people will ignore it.

If invited in this fiscal year, it is the number of EOI used in the fiscal year. But visa approval is likely to be in the next fiscal year, so it is the immigration quota for the new fiscal year. The two figures are calculated separately according to the fiscal year.

As of June 30, 2017, the Migration Board had another 19150 applicants, according to immigration reports. If signed this fiscal year, these people will occupy the quota of this fiscal year. And this fiscal year is submitted late or incomplete, I am afraid to wait until the next year.

Therefore, the 15600 main applications invited by the EOI plus a certain proportion of the secondary applications, together with New Zealand citizens, and the nearly 20 000 people left behind, I am afraid there will be only a small number of 43990 quotas! Of course, it is possible to use up quotas for all kinds of occupations, that is, the maximum number of invitations, but these two quotas are two different things, don't get mixed up

In fact, the Ministry of the Interior has long announced on the official website, each round of invitations depends on the number of cases they are trying.

Well, over the past few months, EOI's invitation has declined, and in addition to policy reasons, it is likely that the Home Office has a backlog of cases. Don't forget that from the end of last fiscal year to the beginning of this fiscal year, there was no sign of 189 for a long time. Look at the hearing time of 189.

Reducing the EOI invitation not only lightens the pressure on the Ministry of the Interior, but also increases immigration scores, achieving the goal of the Ministry of the Interior wanting an "higher quality" applicant, killing two birds with one stone. Only this year this group of 189 applicants.

epilogue

Therefore, Australia's goverment is not holding 43990 quotas would rather not be used up than more EOI invitations, nor do not need skilled immigrants, but too many people to apply, everyone has to wait in line. The next few rounds of invitations, although we also hope to be able to issue additional invitations, but at present, I am afraid the situation will not be optimistic.

In this situation, if you want to break through, can only find a way to score, or transfer to the state. At least for the time being, the state's invitation rate has been good, including accountants who have stopped issuing 189 applications, and the state is continuing to issue invitations. Wait, either the score rises, or the quota runs out, can only wait the next year.
