Point Nepean National Park

Point Nepean National Park, Portsea VIC 3944, Australia

Introduction of Point Nepean National Park

Point Nepean National Park is located at the southwestern end of (Mornington Peninsula), the Monington Peninsula in southern Victoria, about 110km from downtown Melbourne, Victoria's capital.

Point Nepean National Park belongs to the small town of Portsea, which is only 5 kilometers by car from the small town of Sorento (Sorrento), and from Solento to Kunscliffe (Queescliff), in (Bellarine Peninsula) on the Belinda Peninsula. If you choose to start your ocean road (Great Ocean Road) drive from Solento to Queen's Cliffs by boat, leave some time for a trip to Point Nepean National Park.

Point Nepean National Park is an amazing national park, originally a zone of isolation and a military base, where a large part of the park was previously in range because of the presence of unexploded weapons. It's still a stop-by area, but there are a lot of other sightseeing spots, and the long road without cars is perfect for cycling. Point Nepean National Park also has a lot of walking trails, and at the top of it is the (Fort Nepean), a fortress of Nippian. It was an important part of Australia's defense system from the 1880s to 1945.
