Sorrento, the southwestern town of Sorrento Back Beach at the southwestern end of (Mornington Peninsula) in southern Victoria's Monington Peninsula, is close to the heart of Sorrento, the town's city beach.
Sorrento Back Beach is considered to be one of the best beaches on the Monington Peninsula, with its surrounding restaurants, coffee shops and other commercial amenities, beautiful scenery (especially at sunset), fine beaches and clear water. There is also a huge natural rock seawater swimming pool (Rock Pools), suitable for fishing and swimming, popular with local residents.
