State War Memorial overlooks the beautiful Swan River (Swan River). On a hillside at the southeast corner of King's Park (Kings Park) in downtown Perth, Western Australia.
Surrounded by meticulous lawns, State War Memorial is made up of a towering war monument and a pool of reflection burning with an incessant torch, commemorating the soldiers who died for the Australian nation in successive wars. Every year the Australian-New Zealand Legion Day, (ANZAC Day, April 25), there will be a big commemorative event. State War Memorial is also a great place to look down on the city of Perth and the Swan River.
