Introduction of DFES Education and Heritage Centre

DFES Education and Heritage Centre is located at the intersection of Murray Street and Irving Street in downtown Perth. It is a two-story building with diverse curtain walls and arches, towers and built-in columns, giving it a Romanesque renaissance style architectural feature and has become a registered Western Australian heritage, which won the West Australian Heritage Prize in 2011. It was used by the Western Australian Fire Department between 1899 and 1979.

The museum showcases the past and present history of fire services in Western Australia and has become a public service gallery for hazard and emergency, natural disaster and disaster education, as well as a display of cultural heritage, including buildings and firefighting equipment. The history and story of the fire station and so on.
