Cradle Mountain

Cradle Mountain TAS 7306, Australia

Introduction of Cradle Mountain

Cradle Mountain (Cradle Mountain), located in the (Central Highlands) area of the central highlands north of Tasmani Island, is one of the most well-known natural landscapes of Tasmania, named for its rolling range-like cradles. Together with the (Lake St Clair) of St. Clair Lake, the Cradle Mountain- Lake St. Clair National Park (Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park).) is formed.

Although both Cradle Mountain and Lake St. Clair are in a national park, there is no road link between the two places. The nearest city to Cradle Mountain is the port city of Devonport, (Devonport), in the northern part of Tata Island, about 75 kilometers away.

Although there is no road link between Cradle Mountain and Lake St. Clair, there is a 65-kilometer long St. (Overland Track), Cradle Mountain and Lake St.-Claire, which are the starting point and the end point respectively, and take about six days to complete the journey. The walkway attracts hundreds of hikers each year to realize their dreams, climbing to the highest peaks of Tasmania and the surrounding mountains and trees.
