Daintree Rainforest

2333 Cape Tribulation Rd, Cape Tribulation QLD 4873, Australia

Introduction of Daintree Rainforest

Daintree Rainforest is located on the northern coast of Queensland, about 125km from the famous tourist city Cairns, and is part of the (Wet Tropics of Queensland) in the wet tropics of Queensland, the World Natural Heritage site assessed by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

Daintree Rainforest is named after Australian geologist and photographer Richard Dai Dan Cui (Richard Daintree, 1832-1878. This is a large area that generally includes some state forest (State Forest) and resident settlement areas in (Daintree National Park),.

Daintree Rainforest is one of the oldest rainforests on Earth, with the largest number of animal and plant species on Earth, home to 30 per cent of all frogs, reptiles and marsupial species, 90 per cent of bat and butterfly species, and 7 per cent of birds. There are more than 12000 species of insects in the rainforest. The diversity of all these species is included in an area that accounts for only 0.2% of Australia's land area. Daintree Rainforest is adjacent to (Great Barrier Reef), another miracle, and there are many mountains, waterfalls, streams and pastures in the forest, so the richness of the landscape is incomparable to that of other rainforests.

Spring is the most active time for animals and plants, the temperature is pleasant, the storm of rainy season is not yet coming, so it is the best time to enjoy it.

From the point of view of biological richness, Daintree Rainforest preserves more complete biodiversity because of its larger scope and farther away from human activities. There are also many local animal and plant cruises, which are worth going to. In addition, because the facilities are available, Daintree Rainforest is a favorite outdoor venue for Australian locals and Europe and America tourists.

Spring is the most active time for animals and plants, the temperature is pleasant, the rainy season storm has not yet arrived, is the best time to enjoy here. If you have plenty of time, you can stay here for a night and choose to drive your own off-road vehicle to experience the depths of the rainforest and get close to nature.
