Mount Lewis National Park is located on the northern coast of Queensland, adjacent to (Daintree National Park) and (Mount Spurgeon National Park), about 150km from the famous tourist cities of Cairns and 50km from Port Douglas. It covers an area of 278.6 square kilometers.
Mount Lewis National Park成立于2009年，由路易斯山森林保护区（Mount Lewis Forest Reserve）和莱弗米德森林保护区（Riflemead Forest Reserve）合并而成。国家公园内多山，大部分面积被森林覆盖，也有一些湿地。国家公园内的路易斯山（Mount Lewis）是一座拥有罕见及特有野生动植物的宝库，拥有极高的生态环境及物种多样性，特别是动物，在这里曾发现过金色园丁鸟（Golden Bowerbirds）、蓝脸鹦鹉（Blue-faced Parrotfinch）、巨型蓝蚯蚓、灰羚环尾负鼠、蒙面白尾鼠、红腹黑蛇以及几种稀有的青蛙种类。美不胜收的山地雨林可以追溯到地球上开花植物的进化时期，一些罕见的鲜花揭示了澳大利亚大陆与古老的岗得瓦纳（Gondwana）大陆的渊源。
Mount Lewis National Park地处偏远地区，国家公园内道路条件较差，只有四驱车能够进入，基础设施也较为缺乏，仅适合有准备的游客进入。位于东南方向的杰拉腾（Julatten）是距离Mount Lewis National Park最近的市镇。
