Museum of Central Australia is located in the downtown Alice Springs, a small inland town in the central part of the Northern Territory, and is part of (Araluen Cultural Precinct), the cultural district of Alalon.
Museum of Central Australia showcases natural wonders, desert life forms, animal fossils, minerals and meteorites in the arid interior of central Australia. These include giant freshwater crocodiles found in (Alcoota fossil site), the fossil site of Alcato, and the largest fossil bird ever.
