Larapinta Trail

Herbert Heritage Dr, Stuart NT 0870, Australia

Introduction of Larapinta Trail

The 223km Larapinta Trail, known as one of the world's top 20 hiking trails, runs along the rocky ridges of West McDonnell's range (West MacDonnell Ranges). From Alice Springs Telegraph Station Historical Reserve (Alice Springs Telegraph Station Historical Reserve) to Sander Mountain (Mount Sonder).

Larapinta Trail has access to the most important attractions of range, including the (Ellery Creek Big Hole), Omison Canyon (Ormiston Gorge) and Glen Helen Canyon (Glen Helen) at the Simpson pass (Simpsons Gap), which will never dry up the Arelli Creek Grand Pond, (Ormiston Gorge), and Glen Helen Canyon, among others. It winds through the world's oldest, most volatile igneous rocks and nearly 600 rare species of plant populations.

Larapinta Trail is connected to other walkways in West McDonnell National Park (West MacDonnell National Park), so hikers can also try to find a way to explore more of the park's landscape.

The hikers can challenge themselves by trying to walk through the entire track, or by experiencing one of the 12 sections, each of which varies in difficulty and length. Each road can be driven by a four-wheel drive, or added or left at the end of each road. Hikers can camp in starlight, with picnic tables and tents in most camps, drinking water at all route endpoints, and some free gas barbeques. You can choose the whole tour, or you can explore it yourself, but make sure it is fully equipped and notify the relevant management department before departure.
