The Hunter Mountain (Hunters Hill) Peninsula, just seven kilometers from the city of Sydney, is the smallest administrative area in Sydney. It is called Sydney's oldest suburban garden. The Clarkes Point Reserve is the farthest park on the peninsula, with amazing views, a wide area of activity, several public ovens and adjacent seats, and a large number of parking spaces, making it a great place to stay at home. Baking a BBQ, overlooking the downtown landscape, playing ball, visiting the local industrial relics, and relaxing at a riverside cafe is a great place to go on the grass.
A long gap could be seen on the map and it was known to the scene that it was a man-made shipyard. It was Australia's largest shipbuilding site in the early 20th century. It's still a lot of big luxury yachts docked and serviced, just across the street from (Cockatoo Island), Kirktu Island, by Ferry F3.
