Merewether Ocean Baths is located on the southern outskirts of Newcastle, the second largest city in New South Wales.
Located at the southernmost end of (Merewether Beach), Merriwether Beach, Merewether Ocean Baths is a natural open-air swimming pool divided into two pools, adult and child. The water is filtered and fed into the pool for repeated cycles, and the water is crystal clear. You can enjoy the huge waves while swimming. There is a free dressing room with hot water on the side of the bath, and lifeguards visit in the summer.
Facing the east, Merewether Ocean Baths is one of the best places for Newcastle to enjoy sunrise.
