Professional Year (PY) (: Professional Year Program () is, as the name implies, a vocational training programme for all overseas students who wish to remain in Australia for employment. Arranged by the school

The course consists of the following four parts:

  • CV Preparation & Interview Skills
  • Professional Training Specific to the Industry
  • Business Communication
  • Australian work practices


The current career year curriculum is divided into the following three categories:

  • Australian Computer Society (ACS) Professional Year Program
  • Engineering Education Australia’s Professional in Engineering
  • Skill Migration Internship Program – Accounting (SMIPA)


PY request criteria:

  • Applied for 485 visa to hold Bridge visa
  • Or hold 485 visa and have enough time left on the visa for the cover PY program.
  • Engineering, IT students have complete career assessment, accounting students career pre-evaluation (provisional skill assessent)
  • IELTS 4 6, A or G can
  • Provide CV and Cover letter (to find a template to change)
