From 14 October 2016, the terms of Australia's 457 employer-guaranteed visas began to be formally changed and implemented one after another. As can be seen from these provisions of the changes, Australia's 457 immigration policy is gradually tightening. Censorship is also growing.
The Labour Market Test Labour Marketing Test (LMT) is a test required by eligible guaranteed employers within 12 months prior to submitting an application for a guaranteed overseas employee. That is, the employer must first try to hire qualified and experienced local employees on different recruitment platforms. If the appropriate local staff cannot be found after an effort during this period, an application can be made to guarantee the overseas staff to fill the vacancy in the position.
According to the original visa rules, the 457 visa expires within 90 days of the termination of the service employment relationship, and the Immigration Board will issue a notice to the Cancel before formalizing the Cancel 457 visa. Under the latest rules, the legal stay in Australia will be reduced from 90 days to 60 days after the suspension of 457 visa holders on November 19, 2016.
Change III: removal of supplementary materials
The new deal requires all 457 visa applicants and immigration agents to be more rigorous in preparing their paperwork in advance without any flaws or omissions. If the applicant is unable to provide all documents within 10 days, he must write a written statement within the 10-day deadline explaining why the material cannot be submitted within this time period.
