A new employer-guaranteed visa, the TSS482 visa, came into effect on March 18, while a series of changes to the NewStars and 187 visas began to take effect.
After a number of "spoilers", many details of the TSS482 visa have been known, and the biggest change is that only occupations on the MLTSSL list can be applied for and require three years or more of relevant work experience. And this surprise is more focused on 187 Additional occupation, 187 additional career list-Regional Occupation List, abbreviated as ROL, has a total of 465 jobs, many of the most popular career suitable for Chinese applicants are back on the career list!
After the implementation of the new policy, the (direct entry stream, requirement of applying for 187 visa has been put into place one step at a time, PR):
- Nomination for employer guarantees in remote areas
- Careers are on the MLTSSL or ROL career list.
- Three years or more working experience related to the nominated position
- Obtain at least four IELTS 6 or equivalent English scores (exempt from meeting requirements)
- No more than 45 years of age at the time of submission of visa (waived for meeting the requirements)
- Meet the skills and qualifications requirements for nominated occupations
- Good health and good conduct
There are 208 occupations on the MLTSSL list and 465 on the ROL list, so there are as many as 673 jobs that can be applied for, and there are no additional requirements for all occupations.

If the position is on the STSOL list for 187, the job nomination was submitted prior to the formal implementation of the New deal on March 18, and the visa is not submitted until March 18, which requires three years or more of the relevant work experience required by the New deal. Because the deadline for the new deal is to submit nominations, not visas. New market wage requirements for TSS visas will also apply to 186 and 187, including the minimum wage.
The next job list update will take place in July, and it is likely that all direct entry stream (applicants will be required to pass a career assessment from that time on, and most of them are currently skilled. Therefore, immigrants should always take advantage of the early, from now to this July, it is not too late to seize 187 of the good opportunities!
