Tolmer Falls

Tolmer Falls, Litchfield Park Rd, Litchfield Park NT 0822, Australia

Introduction of Tolmer Falls

Tolmer Falls is one of the most spectacular waterfalls in the Richfield National Park, located on the western border of the (Litchfield National Park) National Park in the north of the Territory.

Tolmer Falls was named after explorer Frederick Henry Richter (Frederick Henry Litchfield) after his father's colleague Alexander Tomo (Alexander Tolmer) at the South Australian Police Department. The waterfall falls 32 to 42 meters from two high cliffs and falls vertically into a deep pool. Visitors can only walk a short distance to a viewing platform above the spectacular waterfall, which marks the start of 1.6 km of the Tolmo Falls walkway, which takes about an hour to walk along the walkway. Through typical sandstone villages in the northernmost region, along the Tolmer River and a tributary, through primitive small rocky ponds.
