Museum of Tropical Queensland is located in Townsville, the fourth-largest city on Queensland's northeast coast, in the same building as (Reef Headquarters Aquarium), the HQ coral reef aquarium.

Museum of Tropical Queensland opened in 1987, the giant spider model in front of the door was built in 2005, is the museum's logo. Museum of Tropical Queensland is full of interesting, magical and interactive displays, here is the focus of North Queensland, It reveals the secrets of life in the tropics, the unique animals and plants of the region, the strange and strange life in the deep sea, and Australia's past.

The Grand Gallery in Museum of Tropical Queensland was occupied by the recovered bow and arrow of the Royal Navy vessel Pandora, a British naval ship that captured the rebels of the (Bouty) and later sank on the Great Barrier Reef. The carpet of the Grand Gallery has a unique design, showing the gun deck on the gallery floor.
