Located in the middle of the Richfield National Park (Litchfield National Park), north of the Northern Territory, Lost City Rock Formations is a spectacular large sandstone outcrop of ancient civilization sites.
Lost City Rock Formations is located deep in Lichfield National Park and has a rough road, only four-drive cars can get in, and the rainy season is sometimes inaccessible because of water. Visitors can appreciate the natural structure formed by the erosion of thousands of years of wind and rain, estimated to be more than 500 million years old in sandstone walls, narrow passages and domes, giving the impression that they are man-made and will marvel at the wide scale of the structure. Lost City Rock Formations's complex, stand-alone sandstone block and columnar structure, larger than a small town, looks like the ruins of a city with a labyrinth of narrow alleys.
