Apollo Bay Museum is located in the small town of Apollo Bay. on (Great Ocean Road), the famous Ocean Road in Victoria.
The predecessor of Apollo Bay Museum was a telecommunications base station opened in 1938 to establish submarine cable communications with the southern island of Tasmania. Thanks to advances in science and technology and the advance of the times, the base station gradually lost its value in the past. Transformed into a museum, the collection includes exhibits of shipwrecks and ship relics, showing the history and vicissitudes of the Apollo Bay area.
