Richmond, a small town of St John the Evangelist Catholic Church on the southeast corner of Tasmania, is on the east side of (Richmond Bridge), Richmond Stone Bridge.
Built in 1836, St John the Evangelist Catholic Church is the oldest Roman Catholic church in Australia. Compared to Melbourne's St. Paul's Cathedral, the size is too small and humble, but there is a sense of spiritual power in simplicity and awe-inspiring. All kinds of sacred objects and souvenirs are on sale in the church.
