Kangaroo Bluff is located on the eastern bank of (River Derwent), the Devent River, Horbart, capital of Tasmania.
In 1873, some thought they had discovered two Russian warships on the Devent River (River Derwent), so they built the cannon and fortress in 1880. The Artillery has never been fired, because it is located in a picturesque environment and a rich historical atmosphere, so it is well preserved and becomes a historic heritage park that appreciates the scenery and culture of the city of Hobart.
The city of Kangaroo Bluff and Hobart are opposite to the Devon River, and the open view makes it the perfect location to enjoy the view of the city of Hobart.
