Classwood's historic town of Ross, in central Tasmania, is a specialty store that specialises in fine-grained wood products.
Owned and operated by the family, Classwood is located in a coach's room, established in 1990 and listed on the heritage list, and was used during World War I as a training ground for the Light Cavalry Brigade. The coach room now serves as a showcase for murals, exquisite wooden works and crafts, ranging from handmade kitchen items, vases, decorative wooden boxes, wooden plates, bowls, etc. Most of the products are made from local Tasmanian wood, such as pinewood, black wood, mahogany and camphor.
