Introduction of Woody Island

Located southeast of Western Australia in the coastal city of Esperance, about 15 kilometers from the coast of Esperance, Woody Island is one of the 105 islands that make up (Recherche Archipelago, also known as Bay of Isles) Island Bay, in the Locheche Islands. Woody Island covers an area of 2.4 square kilometers. All of them are classified as Woody Island Nature Reserve, (Woody Island Nature Reserve).

Woody Island is the only island open to the public and offers camping in the Locheche Islands, where tourists can walk, climb, swim, snorkeling and fishing on land covered by pristine jungle, where visitors can walk, mountaineering, swimming, snorkeling and fishing.

Woody Island lives in large numbers of wild animals and can reach a variety of marsupials on land, such as beavers, kangaroos, birds and so on, while the surrounding waters of the island are rich in marine life, including sea dogs, sea lions and dolphins.
