Introduction of Frenchman Peak

Frenchman Peak is located in (Cape Le Grand National Park)., a sea corner national park 70 kilometers east of the western Australian southern coastal seaport city Esperance (Esperance), known as the "most beautiful coastline of Australia".

Frenchman Peak was named after the shape of the top of the mountain similar to the hat worn by army in France in the 19th century. In 1870, explorer Alexander Forrest (Alexander Forrest) discovered and named it on an expedition in search of a good ranch.

Frenchman Peak is the second highest point in the national park at 262 meters above sea level in the west of the Great Sea Corner National Park. The top of the mountain is equipped with a view of the National Park and Esperance Bay.

It takes 2 to 3 hours to climb back and forth about 3 kilometers.
