Will's Rare Breeds Farm

Will's Rare Breeds Farm (Will's Rare Breeds Farm) is located in South Australia's famous tourist victory road kangaroo island, north of (Kangaroo Island), near (Stokes Bay), Stokes Bay, about 45 kilometers from Kincott (Kingscote), the largest town on kangaroo island.

Will's Rare Breeds Farm was founded in 2002 by William Marshal (William Marshall) to:

• Collection and maintenance of rare breeding populations of domesticated farm animals;
• (B) to provide surplus breeding animals for other persons interested in their protection;
• Conducting itinerant education to publicize the variety and its predicament to the public;
• Encourage the study of rare farm species;
• Collect and freeze embryos and semen as a genetic safety to prevent disasters (that is, diseases) and prevent genetic drift.
• Genetics of domesticated farm animals imported and exported to rare varieties;
• To provide niche marketing of meat products for surplus animals;

Dr. William is keen to save and protect rare domestic farm animals, so rare breed farms have been created near the kangaroo island of Stokes Bay, and as the biodiversity of domesticated farm animals declines at an astonishing rate of two species a week around the world, public awareness and support are needed to reverse this trend. These varieties represent unique and irreplaceable gene banks unique to some parts of the world and are selected to adapt to specific environments (including resistance to endemic diseases and parasites) or hundreds or even thousands of years for agricultural, cultural and religious purposes. As a result of changing market trends, many original breeds are on the verge of extinction as a result of civil strife and / or the introduction of foreign breeds with higher inputs.

Will's Rare Breeds Farm is open to the general public for guided tours, which are available for most of the year, whether individual or group, and need to call Dr. William in advance to arrange an appointment.
