Seal Bay Conservation Park is located in Seal Bay (Seal Bay) south of Kangaroo Island (Kangaroo Island), a famous tourist resort in southern Australia, about 55 kilometers from King Scott (Kingscote), the largest town on Kangaroo Island.
Bay is known for its vast rare fauna: the australian sea lions (Australia Sea Lion), the only place in australia where visitors can get close contact with seals on the beach. Since 1803, there has been an ecological record. In the first half of the 20th century, shark fishing boats used to kill sea lions and seals at will for sharks, and because the waters near seal bay are underwater and the bait reef is inaccessible, the australian sea lions are spared. In 1954, with the establishment of the Seals Bay Waters Reserve, the island's sea lions can now settle peacefully and breed. At present, there are about 600 sea lions here, they are extremely human, for tourists stroll in them, the performance is quite generous, when facing the scene of tourists, will pose, very cooperative to present a vivid picture for tourists.
Tour Seals Bay can choose to join the tour group led by the park tour guide or walk on its own 800 meters long boardwalk. The protected area has built board platform to extend to the bay, which does not affect the daily life of sea lions, but also gives visitors the opportunity to observe and get close to the natural life of this group of creatures.
