Mintaro Wines

Jacka Rd, Mintaro SA 5415, Australia

Introduction of Mintaro Wines

Mintaro Wines is located in Clare Valley, an important wine producing area in South Australia, about 15 kilometers from the town of Clare and about 130 kilometers from Adelaide, the capital of South Australia.

Mintaro Wines was founded by Peter Horzworth (Peter Houldsworth) in 1984, and the vineyard of the winery began planting vines as early as 1962. By 1985, Mintaro Wines had become a well-functioning and fully equipped winery. Mintaro Wines and its vineyards are located in (Mintaro), Vineyard, the historic town of Clare Valley, covering a total of 10 hectares, with 4 hectares of Riesling (Riesling), and 3 hectares each of Cabernet Sauvignon (Cabernet Sauvignon) and Silas (Shiraz). Most of these vines grow under natural drought conditions, wineries generally do not carry out artificial irrigation, and grape rattan pruning and grape picking are also operated in a manual way.

Peter is not only the owner of Mintaro Wines, but also the chief winemaker of the winery. He has always insisted on the traditional method of brewing wine, using manual operation to make wine. From grape selection, to crushing, pressing, to fermentation, ripening, and finally to wine bottling, this series of wine-making techniques are all handled by hand under Peter's strict supervision. Therefore, the wine brewed by, Mintaro Wines has superior quality, rich aroma, rich flavor, wonderful tannins, long and lasting aftertaste, and perfect display of vineyard characteristics and grape variety characteristics. Mintaro Wines has a wide range of wines, from high quality red wine (Premiun Red) to daily white wine (White Table Wine). Among the red wines, Mintaro Wines has issued six bottles of red wine in particular, which are divided into three series according to the packaging-the beautiful series (Belles Femmes), Leckie window series (Leckie Window) and the flying doctor series (Flying Doctor). The three series use different wine label patterns, and the wine label patterns of each bottle come from a work of art from the series to which they belong, so these wines are also collectively referred to as the Australian Art Series (Australian Art Series).

At present, the main wines produced by, Mintaro Wines are Australian art series red wine, Riesling dry white wine, special Sira dry red wine (Premium Shiraz) and so on. As soon as these wines are issued, they are deeply loved by the market and have won the top spot in various international and regional wine exhibitions and competitions. For example, at the 1996 Canberra International Wine Fair (National Wine Show in Canberra), Mintaro Wines won the gold medal.
