Burra, a small town with a long mining history in the north-central part of South Australia, is now completely closed, leaving many historic sites for visitors.
At the Burra tourist Information Centre (Burra Visitor Information Centre, address: 2 Market Square, Burra SA 5417), visitors can purchase a Burra heritage passport (Burra Heritage Password) and have unlimited access to these historic sites and museums, including not limited to the following locations:
Visitors will be given a detailed guide to help explore the cultural heritage route's site, Burra Heritage Trail, which is 11 km long and has a clear logo around the town, with 49 sites along the route.
