More than 2260 species of plants, more than 200 species of birds, up to 15 cm tall giant tree frog, wings up to 25 cm of giant moth. These numbers may sound elusive, but when you see them with your own eyes, you will be shocked by the magical species that hide in one of the world's oldest remaining rainforests: the Queensland rainforest.
During the hot summer, I started a summer trip in the Southern Hemisphere, this time focusing my eyes on North Queensland, Australia. Not only can you go deep into the sea floor, see the world-famous Great Barrier Reef, but also find endangered animals and plants in the beautiful and magical rainforest.
Our plane landed in the coastal city of North Queensland: Cairns. Because the latitude is relatively low, the climate here is both cool and not too cold in the Southern Hemisphere. May-September is especially suitable for tourism.
The breath of the city and the purity of nature coexist harmoniously in Keynes and come to the city museum, which can give a glimpse of the development of the whole city. Along Binhai Avenue, you can enjoy the same leisure life as the locals while watching the sea view.
After a two-day adventure at sea, we drove ourselves to the rainforest around Keynes, spreading the vast Queensland rainforest along the northeast coast, covering a total area of nearly 9000 square kilometers. Ancient trees, rugged mountain roads, fast rivers and deep canyons. This flowing picture of nature contains not only rare wildlife, but also Australian Turkish culture.

The oldest ferns in the rainforest live for more than 150 million years, as if they were living fossils of earthly creatures, and as if they were concentrating and displaying hundreds of millions of light-years. The Dane rainforest, (Daintree Rainforest), became the oldest tropical rain forest in the world, and was listed on the World Heritage list in 1988.
Throughout Queensland's rainforests, there are more than 300 free national parks. Visitors can choose from a variety of ways to find out, go for a free trip or report a local tour, suggesting that you don't have to force yourself to arrange one or two parks a day, and that it is the best way to see the natural scenery while experiencing the cultural customs.
From north to south, we walked through the leafy forest, playing with kangaroos, dancing with birds, with the excitement of adventure, but also the spiritual experience of human exploration.

This rainforest park has a strong Turkish culture.
Speaking of the tropical rain forest town of (Kuranda), which is named after the local Turkish language, is a "little hidden in the wild" sightseeing town. More than 100 years ago, Kuranda was the home of the Turkish Atherton people. Today, 80% of the town's inhabitants are still Turkish.
Walking on one of the busiest streets in the town center, the Turkish culture can be felt everywhere, and creative totem is painted on utensils and souvenirs such as darts, bows and arrows. In a steamboat gallery, there are more paintings by Turkish artists.
Enter the Kuranda rainforest park and get close contact with the Turks. They show their daily life and cultural traditions by singing and dancing. Unique instruments, playing their own rhythm.

ATHETON, Atherton Plateau

We continued south to Atheton., 1.5 hours south-west of Keynes, on the Atherton Plateau. There are pastures, long hills inlaid with large and small lakes, when the sun sets, the golden light shines all over the earth. As the sailboat passed in the distance, the scene was recorded with the camera as if it were an oil painting.
One of the most interesting activities on the Atherton Plateau is to have dinner with wild animals. After watching the sunset, we drove to a ranch, and the owner prepared steak, kangaroo, sausage and all kinds of salad for us, and with these ingredients, we were ready to start today's dinner.
In a high-rise area, with lots of RV parking, we laid food in the only open-ended restaurant nearby and started barbecues. Watching the guide roasted the steak skillfully, he was applauded and admired, but he said it was a must for Australian men: "when the APEC conference was held, the Prime Minister of Australia hosted everyone as well."
When a large meal is served on the table, the joy of barbecue in the wild really appears, we can look up to the stars to taste the food, each other's laughter echoes in the forest.
Before long, the sudden appearance of small kangaroos broke everyone's focus on food, they ran out one after another, originally because just woke up to find food. We'll give them the bread we prepared in advance, and we can gently touch their backs without worrying that they won't hurt you.
The other creature woke up from the joy of feeding the kangaroo. The beaver, who likes to eat bananas, can be handed over with a fork. Some had the courage to stand with the crowd and eat one by one; some were timid and ran down from the tree to get one and rushed back.
Such a scene is so loving that even the burly uncle of our team has been saying that he was "spoiled". In addition to barbecue in the wild, there are many other night tours on the Atherton Plateau, and more small animals can be met later in the departure group.
Palonella Park
More beautiful than nature is the love story here.
The last stop we came to the southern tip of the rainforest, (Paronella Park), Park, spoke of the tropical rain forest park in the animated film "City of the Sky," in addition to the beautiful natural landscape. The most famous is a story about love. The master of the story is: Jose Paronella., an adventurer from Spain
Jose came to Australia alone with his only fortune and an adventurous heart, eager to discover a new world and create a beautiful home for himself and his fiancee. The fiancee thought that Jose would never come back, so she married someone else's wife.

So Jose and his beloved wife returned to Australia's 13 acres of wasteland, using the surrounding environment and materials, to create their own castle garden. Palonella Castle has been built for six years, including ballrooms, cinemas, gardens, viewing platforms, etc., where many wedding and balls have been held, and a wedding photo taken here by an officer and his wife can be seen in the room where Jose lives. The castle was officially opened in 1935, and tourists swam through the green castle. However, after a flood and a fire, the park gradually disappeared into public view after a flood and a fire. It was not until 1993 that the park opened again. The castle is now intact as a whole, but some of the houses are left with only crumbling walls. As the tour drew to a close, the guide gave us a small stone of the castle as a gift. "because this castle is built together by husband and wife, we also hope that with such a powerful small stone, to build their own dreams and life!"
