Swan Dive Wreck

Swan Dive Wreck is about five kilometres from Dunsborough in the area of Georaphe Bay near the coastal town of Dunsborough on the west coast of Western Australia.

The 113-metre-long Navy destroyer has become one of the biggest and most popular dive sites for shipwrecks in Australia and the Southern Hemisphere as it sleeps in 1997 after being harmlessly disposed of by the decommissioned HMS Swan.

The Royal Navy's Swan, at a slightly tilted,35m underwater, is a truly spectacular site where fish and marine animals have used the wreck as their home, diving to see swarms of ox-eye fish in the many chambers of the wreck, while King George's toothfish and European flatfish roam around the hull, often with large fish such as Samson, Blue Plover and firewood.

Visitors can sign up for Swan Dive Wreck's dive at numerous business operators in Densboro and Bathurst, while a permit from the Dunsborough Visitor Centre is required in advance for a private cruise boat dive to explore the Royal Navy's Swan.
