Glen Helen Gorge

Glen Helen Gorge, Finke River, Mount Zeil NT 0872, Australia

Introduction of Glen Helen Gorge

Glen Helen Gorge is located about 130km from Alice Springs in West McDonnell National Park (West MacDonnell National Park), west of Alice Springs, a small inland town in the central part of the Northern Territory.

Located in the west of Mcdonnell range (MacDonnell Range), Glen Helen Gorge is popular with (Red Centre Way) drivers who drive from Alice Springs to the Red Center Highway and is their ideal overnight site. Glen Helen Gorge itself is beautiful, especially in non-dry seasons. The pond water in the canyon is clean and cool, which is the redemption of relaxing the whole body and mind after a day of high temperature driving. Tourists can only float with old tires from the shores not far near the shore, or they can swim to the depths of the canyon for some distance. Looking at the water and the mountains on the other side of the valley, looking at the black swans who shared a pool of water with themselves, the whole world seemed to be so quiet as to stretch its neck gracefully over the dusk water in the orange sunset. The landscape around Glen Helen was also fascinating, and a towering sandstone wall was the first sight visitors had seen since their arrival.

But Glen Helen is not perfect, and the (Glen Helen Homestead Lodge), facility, the only place to stay, is a bit dilapidated, and camping is a good option if the temperature is tolerable.
