The coastal community of St Kilda Botanical Gardens, located in the southern outskirts of Melbourne, Victoria, is about 8 kilometres by car from the city of Melbourne and about 1 km from (St Kilda Beach), St. Kitts's beach, covering an area of about 6 hectares.
Open to the public as early as 1861, St Kilda Botanical Gardens is one of the earliest urban botanical gardens in Melbourne, with access to the botanical gardens from five gates on different roads. It has a beautiful environment, green trees, community gardens, children's playgrounds, greenhouse flower houses, Asian rainforests, rose gardens, ornamental ponds, and eight old trees over 800 years old, suitable for picnics, walks and family gatherings. It is also one of the places where Melbourne citizens shoot wedding dresses as usual.
