Introduction of Hartley Historic Site

Hartley Historic Site is located in (Hartley), a historic site town west of (Greater Blue Mountains Area) in the range region of the Greater Blue Mountains in southern New South Wales, about 125km by car from Sydney, the capital of New South Wales. It is about 25 kilometers by car from Katumba (Katoomba), the core town of the Blue Mountain Scenic area of (Blue Mountains).

Hartley Historic Site, one of the oldest white settlements in the Blue Mountain region, remains well-preserved after centuries of wind and rain, making it a world-famous tourist attraction. Visit this historic attraction and take visitors through to the 1830s to learn about the living environment and conditions of the settlers at that time.

Hartley Historic Site has 17 historic buildings that accurately restore the original 19th-century Blue Mountain settlements and are one of the best preserved buildings in Australia. Among them, the Hartley Court (Hartley Courthouse), built in 1837, is a Greek renaissance architectural style and has opened up as a museum to the outside world. These buildings were of great significance to Australia's inland development at that time and have been protected as historic sites in Australia. In addition to these distinctive buildings, there are handicrafts and historical stories of the residents.
