Nelson Falls is located in western Tasmania, within Franklin-Gordon Wilderness River National Park (Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National Park), next to Burberry Lake (Lake Burbury).
Nelson Falls is about 30 meters high, and (Queenstown Australia), a small town to the west of Burberry Lake, follows Lyell Hwy for about 25 kilometers to the parking lot in Nelson Falls and then walks about 700 meters along the trail to the bottom of the waterfall.
